Thanks for taking the time to type all that out I can see many, many people printing this in the near future! One thing I noticed however, there's no mention of the lighting system. While not highlighted in the video, it was pointed out in one of the threads and ED staff noted that it was only removed for early release of the video while the sim was in production, because of a graphical error that occurred when the lights were powered on.
Perhaps you could add in some instructions for lights, I'd assume just after going live with the power and inverters, so that ground crew know that the aircraft is going hot. There's a video on Youtube of the F4AF startup that shows this procedure. Other than that, fantastic guide! Chiming in here as well: Before executing step 39 on the list (pressing the 'NAV'-OSB on the CDU-page), wait for complete INS NAV alignment - otherwise the EAC-switch will not engage and simply flip back to 'OFF'. You'll know it's fully aligned when: 1.
The alignment-time is greater than 4 minutes and the 'error-margin' is below 1.0 (2.0 here would mean that navigational errors would be 2x as great as with a fully aligned system, 3.0 3x as high, etc.). Look at the bottom of the CDU page for the line that says: T = x.x (minutes since alignment started) y.y ('error-margin') At full alignment this should read 'T = 4.00 0.8 2. The message 'INS NAV RDY' starts blinking at the top of the CDU page. You can now press the 'NAV'-OSB (OSB 9 IIRC) and flip the EAC-switch to on.
